5 Undervalued Players That Could Smash The World Cup

Posted 10th November 2022

With the world cup fast approaching, we've put together a list of players we believe represent value for money during the world cup and beyond

How excited are you for the World Cup? With not long to wait, here are our top 5 value Sorare players for the world cup. We have selected players we believe will do well in the world cup, represent value for money, and will continue to be useful in future Sorare lineups

Tajon Buchanan 🇨🇦 Canada

Buchanan was drafted by New England Revolution in 2019 where his potential was evident, but he had to wait until June 2021 to make the senior international team.

He made the move to Club Brugge in Jan 22 for a reported $7m, Buchanan had a stellar first full European season due to his rapid adaptation at Club Brugge and his role in Canada’s World Cup qualifying run.

With a goal and an assist against Jamaica in his second last game, he has been in good form leading up to the world cup. A regular starter and scorer at club level is an advantage to your Sorare Lineups.

Manuel Akanji 🇨🇭 Switzerland

Man City signed Akanji from Borussia Dortmund in the summer for just £15 million. During that time, Akanji has made 11 appearances in all competitions. Since switching to the Premier League, the Swiss has been a bargain, filling in for an injury-ravaged City backline. making Akanji a perfect fit in the squad.

As a 21-year-old, he made his international debut in 2017 and has since been integral to the success of his nation. Since then, Akanji has made 42 appearances for Switzerland, scoring one goal and assisting another. As a result of his consistent high green scores on Sorare, we consider him an excellent addition to any world cup roster.

Niklas Süle 🇩🇪 Germany

This year saw the Germany international cross the divide between two bitter rivals from Bayern to Dortmund. Having to compete with Scholterbeck for the center back position has been a rocky start for Sule. Due to this, he has been assigned to the right, which can only enhance his utility going forward.

There seems to be a different story for Germany, as Flick seems to prefer him over the younger player perhaps because of his experience. After all is said and done, you have another long-term value player to add to your Sorare team.

Gonzalo Montiel 🇦🇷 Argentina

Having risen through River Plate’s academy, Motiel is @Coptersapples favorite player on this list, having been signed by Sevilla in summer 2021 where he has cemented his place as one of the team’s key players.

He has also proven his worth at international level, scoring 67.16 out of 78 minutes played in his last outing vs Ecuador, that’s without a decisive action. As a world cup utility player and beyond, we think he’s an absolute steal.

Jasper Cillessen 🇳🇱 Netherlands

It is believed that Cillesen took the NEC job in order to prove his worth in his pursuit of a position at the world cup, he is the wild card on this list with Flekken (4caps) and Pasaveer (2caps) in contention for the No1 spot.

That said, we believe with his experience he should get the job and is a candidate worth considering not only for the world cup but also going forward at club level.
